Opera → BookNLink connector runbook
A ninety-minute runbook for provisioning the Opera → BookNLink connector, from HTNG endpoint to green sandbox.
Prerequisites
- Active BookNLink workspace with API access enabled.
- Signed JWT scoped to the module.
- Sandbox account provisioned (comes with every module).
Step-by-step
- Open your workspace and go to Catalogue → Activate module → Sandbox.
- Paste the vendor API credentials into the Connectivity tab and click Test.
- Confirm the mapping matrix suggested by the auto-mapper; adjust room types if required.
- Run a full inventory sync in sandbox and observe the journal for any 4xx responses.
- When the sandbox is clean, click Promote to production. First month is included at signup.
Common pitfalls
- Missing derived-rate definitions cause 422 responses. Confirm rate-plan dependencies before promoting.
- Webhook loss during network partitions is repaired by the reconciliation job every fifteen minutes.
- Timezone mismatch between the PMS and the BookNLink canonical layer causes stay-date drift. Verify the timezone on the workspace before rolling out.
What to monitor for the first week
- Sync success rate (target ≥ 99.5%).
- Median push latency (target ≤ 60 seconds).
- Reconciliation drift count (target ≤ 5 per property per day).
- Journal error rate (target ≤ 0.2%).
